FAQ
Do you take insurance?
I do not accept insurance. Some plans have “out-of-network benefits,” and may reimburse a portion of what you pay out of pocket. I partner with Mentaya to help you easily get a portion of your out-of-pocket expenses reimbursed.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
24-hour notification of canceling or rescheduling is required, otherwise you will be charged your session fee. When scheduling for your first appointment you will review + sign a cancelation acknowledgement.
How often do I need to see you?
I like to start with weekly sessions to really get the ball rolling and then transition to every other week or monthly sessions as you see symptoms improving.
is this a confidential space?
Therapy is confidential, similar to your doctor’s visits. Your information is HIPAA-protected. Exceptions include any presence or risk of harm to yourself or others, knowledge of the abuse of a child, elderly adult, or adult with developmental disabilities, or if I am subpoenaed to court on your behalf.
Meet Megan
I have a masters degree in clinical counseling from Xavier University and over eight years experience treating trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, and relationship concerns. I am an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community and specialist in women’s health issues (yes--that includes abortion and gender affirmation care).
My other passions include nature hikes with my two pups, diving deeper into my own discovery through flotation therapy, perfecting the açai bowl, and discovering new music--therapists are humans too, if you see me at a music festival know that dancing is therapy!
